Born and raised United Kingdom. I worked in banks, hairdressing salons and retail stores before serving in management positions with two international Christian organizations based in London. I came to US in 1993 at the invitation of Jews for Jesus. Served as their chief administrative officer and then as Director of Stewardship before leaving to enter the pastorate. Accepted a call to pastor Grace Bible Fellowship in Pacifica in September 2002 at the same time as beginning study at Golden Gate Baptist Seminary. In 2006 graduated with an MDiv was invited to add the interim pastorate of Vista del mar Baptist church to my responsibilities to which I was excited to agree. I am an active participant in The Partnership for a Safe and Healthy Pacifica, a community group committed to changing patterns of drug and alcohol abuse amongst teenagers. I also host “Awakenings”, a show on Pacifica community television featuring those for whom the Christian faith has played a significant part in recovery . In November 2006 I was blessed beyond my wildest dreams to marry Maggie, a teacher from San Diego, now working in Foster City. It has been such a joy for my two sons Robert and John and I to welcome her into our home and family. Together we look forward to seeing God continue to reveal His mysterious and marvelous ways here in Pacifica. Passions: - Seeing people changed by a real relationship with Jesus. Pleasures: Spending time with my family, Cooking, Growing flowers Country Music (yes really!), Eating Indian food, watching movies and TV.(Great source of sermon illustrations! That’s my story and I’m sticking with it!), All sports ( especially cricket!). Dreams: To see revival break out in Pacifica...and to own a Mini Cooper! |

Statistics: Born in San Jose, California and the oldest of four siblings. I am married to a wonder man of God, who loved me enough to provide me with two beautiful, intelligent, young ladies, Laura Beth and Kaitlyn Nicole. We moved to Pacifica in 1997 and soon after found our new church family, Vista Del Mar Baptist Church, which is now New Life Christian Fellowship! I enjoy taking walks around Pacifica with my family, our dog Candy, or my dear friends. When I get an opportunity, I like to discover new places where I can go Geo-Caching. I like to read inspirational books, watch a good movie, shop with my daughter Kaitlyn, talk on the phone with Laura or snuggle with my husband Paul. I also enjoy spending time with the rest of my family including my young nieces and nephews. I have been working part-time as a Caregiver/Med. Aide for a private assisted living home in Moss Beach for the past year and a half now. I enjoy trying to give as much love as I can to these elderly residents. If I knew I couldn't fail: I would provide shelter for those in great need, house an animal rescue for lost and abused animals, travel the world and provide help to the hungry and sick children. I would also want to provide a fun, safe learning atmosphere for teens, and adopt and take care of as many abandoned children as I could. |

Name: Josh and Elizabeth (Liz) Howeth Hometowns: Josh: Helena, Montana Liz: Portland, Oregon What brought you here: In January 07, we moved to the North Bay to attend seminary. A friend from college who grew up in Pacifica and attended Grace Bible Fellowship, told us his home church was looking for a worship leader and youth leaders. When we moved here, we checked it out. Eight months later, the churches merged into New Life Christian Fellowship! Some areas of interest in ministry: sharing the Gospel that embraces every person no matter what their past, being real, faith expressed through creativity and music, and a desire to know and speak truth. Hobbies: Liz: being in the sun, visiting new places, road trips, art, music, movies, crafts, blogging, coffee, hanging out with Josh, family, and friends. Josh: finding new music, guitar, fly fishing, movies, baseball, coffee, books (more browsing and buying than reading), golf, fantasy sports Dream vacation: Tour Europe for 2 months If I knew I wouldn’t fail, I would be… Josh: A major league baseball player Liz: A set designer or costume designer for major films Random Facts: We have been married since August 06. We are pregnant with our first and due in March! “The Office” is our favorite TV show. Josh loves old fashioned doughnuts and hates talking about himself. Liz loves peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and hates fish.
